Level 1 Tuesday @ 6 pm
Level 1 is designed for beginners and those new to the Salsa Rueda dance style. Our experienced instructors will introduce you to the fundamental steps, partner coordination, and the basic structure of the Rueda. By the end of this class, you’ll be ready to join the circle with confidence and enjoy the exhilarating dancing experience.
Level 2 Saturday @ 4:45 pm
Dive deeper into intricate patterns, and advanced footwork, and explore more complex Rueda figures. This Salsa Rueda class is tailored for intermediate dancers seeking a challenge and looking to enhance their ability to navigate the dynamic Salsa Rueda dance style.

What is Salsa Rueda (Rueda de Casino)?
So, what’s the story behind this amazing dance style? Rueda de Casino originated in the dance halls of Havana, Cuba, in the late 1950s. At that time, casino-style salsa (which is danced in pairs) was already popular, but dancers began adding a twist: they formed a circle, or “rueda,” and performed synchronized moves, with one leader calling out the steps. This social aspect of changing partners made Salsa Rueda unique, and it quickly gained popularity.
The dance spread like wildfire throughout Cuba and eventually to other parts of the world. Today, Salsa Rueda is enjoyed globally, with its energetic vibe, playful nature, and sense of community making it a favorite at social dances and festivals alike. The name “casino” refers to the clubs where this style of dance was popularized – Havana’s “casinos” were famous for their music and dance scenes. Over the years, Rueda de Casino has evolved, incorporating different Salsa styles and influences, but the core remains the same: a joyful celebration of music, rhythm, and togetherness.
