Level 1 Tap – Thursdays @ 6 pm
Already completed the Intro to Tap series? Remember the fundamentals and ready to dust off your tap shoes? Level 1 is for you! This slower-paced class focuses on strengthening basic technique, adding new steps to your repertoire, and developing speed, stability, and musicality.
Level 2 Tap – Thursdays @ 7:15 pm
Feeling comfortable with your tap dance foundation and ready for a little more? Level 2 is for you! This moderately-paced class focuses on building past the basics, increasing confidence with more intricate weight shifts, combining different steps, and strengthening musicality.
Level 3 Tap – Thursdays @ 8:30 pm
Feeling confident in your tap dance foundation and looking to speed things up? Level 3 is for you! This faster-paced class focuses on mastering intermediate level technique, complex combinations, and musical phrasing.
Meet Your Tap Dance Instructor: Emily Mikolitch
Our tap dancing classes are led by the incredibly talented Emily Mikolitch, a Dallas native and graduate of UCLA’s prestigious School of Theater, Film, and Television.
Emily brings a rare blend of professional performance experience and world-class training to every tap class. She has studied tap dance internationally, including at the renowned Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, one of the most respected dance institutions in the world.
Her performance career has taken her to iconic stages such as:
- Kennedy Center
- Public Theater
- Walt Disney World
- International productions in Dubai, UAE
A Tap Teacher with Global Experience
Emily began teaching at just 15 years old and has since shared her passion for tap across the globe. She has taught at:
- Rhythm in Fusion Festival (Dallas)
- Monday Night Tap Experience at Debbie Allen Dance Academy
- Cascadia Dance & Film Festival (Vancouver)
- Syncopated Ladies Bootcamp (Dubai)
- Dance Arts Academy (Los Angeles)
Her choreography has been commissioned nationwide, with work showcased across California, Texas, Florida, and beyond. Beyond dance, Emily also works in post-production for TV and film and recently directed a theater production at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival—bringing a creative, storytelling edge to every class she teaches.
